Ashlyn grew up surrounded by animals, learning early on that caring for them was not just a responsibility, but a calling. From a young age, being alongside animals shaped her deep respect for their wellbeing and sparked a lifelong passion for helping them stay safe and healthy.

Through rescuing and caring for animals, Ashlyn saw firsthand how quickly emergencies can happen and how critical it is for owners to be prepared. Those experiences made one thing clear: knowledge saves lives.

Paws and Hooves was founded to empower pet and horse owners with practical, confidence-building animal first aid education. Emergencies do not wait for perfect timing or weather, and being prepared can make all the difference when it matters most.

Formerly known as Natural Connections Equine Assisted Learning and Pet First Aid, the business has rebranded to Paws and Hooves to better reflect its mission and focus. Today, Paws and Hooves is dedicated to educating owners, strengthening human-animal bonds, and helping animals receive the care they deserve when every second counts.
