Equine Assisted Learning
Paws and Hooves offers Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) programs for children ages 5+, youth, and adults. Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential, hands-on approach that supports the development of life skills, leadership, communication, emotional awareness, and teamwork through guided interactions with horses.
In our sessions, the horses become the teachers. Under the guidance of Ashlyn, a certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator, participants engage in thoughtfully designed activities that encourage reflection, problem-solving, and personal growth. Each experience is facilitated with intention, safety, and compassion, allowing meaningful learning to unfold naturally.
Our programs are fully customized to meet your unique goals and needs. We offer individual sessions, family experiences, and group programs, and we proudly accommodate a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges to ensure everyone has the opportunity to benefit from what horses have to offer.
All Equine Assisted Learning sessions are ground-based, meaning there is no riding involved. Participants work alongside the horses from the ground, fostering connection, trust, and insight in a calm and supportive environment.
Whether you are looking to strengthen relationships, build confidence and life skills, support personal growth, or simply enjoy a meaningful bonding experience, Equine Assisted Learning offers a powerful and memorable way to learn, connect, and grow.
